Is it just me or am I the only one to love a pitch! I like the build-up, the process and the team spirit (when else do you get so attached and so protective of your team and work). Of course it helps when the brief is tight, there’s a good proposition and we nail the creative and strategy straight away – which sometimes happens. But it’s an exciting part of our job, apart from the late nights. It’s about relationships, chemistry, work, people, late night pizza’s, firing on all cylinders, blowing gaskets, 3am light-bulb moments, not so light-bulb moments and testing our mettle against other agencies – all the things that make this industry great.
When the pitch is over of course, it’s time for a beer, contemplation and a very long sleep (until we hear the result!).
