The eagerly anticipated B2B Awards 2014 shortlist has been unveiled, featuring a wealth of global brands from a broad range of B2B sectors.
Best performing agencies were The Marketing Practice, with 12 campaigns shortlisted, followed by Stein IAS with ten, and by the recently merged OgilvyOne DNX and Gravity Global equal on seven. Amongst the top performing clients were O2, Deloitte, Cisco, SAP and CFM.
Competition to reach the shortlist stage was tougher than ever, with over 500 submissions received from all over the world, representing growth of 20 per cent on 2013. The first round of judging took place in July, with work assessed by client-side only judging panels, including senior B2B marketers from the likes of Xerox, BP, Access Group, Freshfields and Ingredion. Other B2B brands featured on the shortlist include IBM, Adobe, Toyota, Cisco, DHL, Microsoft, AXA, RS Components, Hilton, Thales and the London Stock Exchange.
“Both in terms of quantity and quality of entries to the B2B Awards, this is great news for the B2B sector,” commented Joel Harrison, editor-in-chief of B2B Marketing. “We’ve seen some fantastic work submitted to us once again this year, and judges have had to work really hard just to choose the shortlist.”
He continues, “Many congratulations to those who made the cut this time, and commiserations to those who were unsuccessful – the quality of entries means that some perfectly good campaigns didn’t have the X-factor to propel them to the final round.”
The winners of the B2B Awards will be announced at the gala dinner, which takes place at the HAC on November 20th – tables and tickets are now on sale.
