O2 has unveiled a its new animated advertising campaign in partnership with the England rugby team.
Timed to coincide with the 2015 Rugby World Cup starting next week, the campaign features an animated film directed by award-winning illustrator and animator Elliot Dear.
Part of O2’s ‘Wear the Rose’ campaign, the film shows England captain Chris Robshaw, Mike Brown and Courtney Lawes as they slowly become giants.
The campaign took over 12 months to implement and is intended to demonstrate the power of national pride and support, while boosting O2’s brand awareness.
Nina Bibby, marketing and consumer director at O2, commented: “Our film shows that whoever and wherever you are, the power of support can make a huge difference.
“We want to inspire the nation to help make the England Rugby team feel like giants and what better way to do that than through an emotive and patriotic animation that can appeal to everyone, from children to parents and grandparents.”
