One Marketing Communications has announced it is sponsoring the 13:50 race at York Racecourse which will be broadcast live on Channel 4 on 31 May 2014.
The ‘One Marketing Communications Stakes’ is the first race in York Racecourse’s May Spring Meeting and will cover a distance of seven furlongs with runners competing for a £25,000 prize.
This sponsorship is part of an eight year relationship with York Racecourse where the agency manages its media planning, buying and creative work.
Wayne Silver, managing director One Marketing Communications, said: “Here at One Marketing, our client relationships are very important to us and we have worked with York Racecourse for a long time. As soon as we were offered the opportunity to sponsor the race we were keen to get involved.
“It is fantastic that the race is being broadcast on Channel 4 as it will increase awareness of York Racecourse on a national stage. The team at One is holding a sweepstake and we are really looking forward to the race.”
