Opus Energy launches awareness campaign

Opus Energy has launched a national brand strategy and awareness campaign with the aim of showing customers that it ‘puts more into businesses’.

Developed by McCann Birmingham, the activity includes press, online advertising and PR.  

Opus Energy only supplies energy to businesses, as a result the creative was developed to surprise business audiences with key truths about the energy supplier and show how it helps companies get on with their day jobs.  

The ads feature a surprised baker with gingerbread men and a gardener with gnomes. These images are accompanied by the strapline: Opus Energy ‘We put more into your business’. The creative aims to highlight Opus Energy as the business energy supplier of choice and convey warmth, honesty and authenticity. 

Jon Marchant, managing partner of McCann Birmingham, commented: “We were delighted to be appointed by Opus Energy and we’re proud of the brand strategy and awareness campaign we have developed. The company was established in 2002 and exclusively supplies energy to businesses, so it was crucial the campaign conveyed the business experience of the brand, while showcasing its customer service focus with statements that may be considered surprising. 

“The advertising campaign will be supported and given longevity with an ongoing PR campaign designed to raise the profile of Opus Energy.   We look forward to seeing how brand awareness has been impacted among large and small businesses.”
