Oracle has bought yet another company, this time acquiring social media marketing company Involver.
The software giant has been acquiring smaller complementary companies with regularity over the last year, as it continues its war with Salesforce.
A posting on Involver’s website said, “The combination of Involver with Oracle is expected to create the most advanced and comprehensive cloud-based social solution, across marketing, sales and service touch points.
“Our technology is expected to extend Oracle’s social platform to help customers more easily and cost-effectively collaborate and build engaging applications and social experiences across social networks and the Open Graph.”
Involver states it expects the deal to go through in the ‘summer of 2012.’
