Oracle launches online resource portal for users

Oracle has launched an online resource for users of its products which combines social media functions, including Twitter and LinkedIn, online tutorials and message boards.

Oraclecore.com features scheduled and on-demand video presentations on Oracle’s Core technology subjects as well as, blogs, podcasts, webinars with supporting resource materials such as case studies, research and whitepapers.

After launching www.epmtv.eu and www.enterprise20.tv – two video-centric portals in April 2009, Oracle says it wanted to extend the social media element and invite customers, prospects and partners to ‘join the debate’.

Oracle says it is aiming to deliver an experience customers and prospects would only gain if they physically met the experts and that Oraclecore.com opens visitors up to a network of people around the world who are interested to learn and discuss the Core technology field.

In its first week, Oraclecore.com, which was developed and measured by Volume, attracted over 6,000 unique visitors converting over 700 opted-in leads. Initially rolled out to the EMEA region, Oracle plans to extend the site to Asia-Pac and the US
