Software brand, Oracle is in the process of acquiring Xsigo Systems, a network virtualisation software maker.
The technology simplifies cloud infrastructure and operations, enabling customers to flexibly connect any server to any network and storage.
John Fowler, Oracle executive vice president of systems, said, “The proliferation of virtualised servers in the last few years has made the virtualisation of the supporting network connections essential.
“With Xsigo, customers can reduce the complexity and simplify management of their clouds by delivering compute, storage and network resources that can be dynamically reallocated on-demand.”
The transaction is expected to complete this autumn.
