Parker skates into sponsorship deal

Pen brand Parker, is sponsoring the Tower of London ice rink during the festive season.

The campaign is aimed at retailers and trade press with a desire to raise brand awareness and promote a newly launched premium pen designed by Beatrice Fontana. The Parker logo is on display within the grounds of the Tower of London and a national consumer competition will run alongside the sponsorship to help meet the brand’s business objectives.

Alison Potter, trade marketing manager for Parker, explains, “Every morning between 1-24 December, a different winner will be selected to have their personal Christmas message
skated into the fresh ice by a professional skater.” Parker is also offering an incentive to retailers who make large sales.

The pen brand explains Christmas is a key time of the year, it says, “Part of our campaign this year is the sponsorship of the Tower of London ice rink. The Tower of London mirrors Parker’s rich heritage, whilst the movement of a skate on ice was considered akin to a pen on paper.”
