Pendragon hopes to break record with world’s biggest envelope

Pendragon Presentation Packaging is taking up the challenge to produce what it hopes will be the world’s largest envelope and enter the Guinness Book of Records in the process.

The challenge has been set by Stanley Gibbons, the world’s leading authority on postage stamps and will coincide with the London 2010 Festival of Stamps at Design Centre Islington where it is hoped that the envelope will be displayed from 8 May.

The envelope will be produced by Pendragon Employees from paper manufactured at a Croppers paper mill based near Kendal, Cumbria.

The largest envelope Pendragon have made commercially – for a client in Scotland – measured 1.12 metres x 0.88 metres.
