Pinterest launches ‘smarter’ analytics

Pinterest has launched ‘smarter’ analytics software to allow business users to learn more about their customers and act on insights.

The update allows organisations to find out what users have shared and liked most from their company websites and Pinterest boards. The software will also show followers common interests and other businesses they follow, while highlighting the traffic businesses can gain by adding the ‘Pin It’ button.

Meanwhile, the social network will now offer businesses advice on how to increase page impressions, clicks and repins to allow them to reach more people.

Jason Costa, product manager at Pinterest, said in a blog post: ‘We’ve gotten lots of great feedback about our analytics tool, and we hope this new version helps you improve how you do business — whether it’s updating your product offerings after seeing what’s popular on Pinterest, or changing how you pin based on what’s trending with Pinners.’
