Powwownow launches ‘Avoid the horror’ campaign

Conference call provider Powwownow has launched a new marketing campaign urging London professionals to swap their daily commute for a conference call.

Created by agency Hometown London, ‘Avoid the horror’ stresses the horror commuters face. The creative uses vivid artwork and minimal copy, urging the audience to: ‘Make your next meeting a conference call’.

The campaign will run from January for six-months across various London locations, including The Underground and black cabs. The activity will be supported by radio ads, online banners and social media.

Jason Downes, managing director of Powwownow, said: “Commuting has long been an annoyance to many across the UK, but it seems that cases of incompetence and regular delays are increasing. With prices in rail fares rising but the quality of service not improving, we believe people must be seriously considering avoiding the horror of commuting.

“With the scope of technology available in this day and age, such as video and call conferencing, we wanted to remind people that there are other ways to work efficiently and effectively.”
