Premier League sponsorships 2015/16

#B2BSponsorships

The new Premier League season has kicked off. Because the 2015/16 competition has seen shirt sponsorship soar past the £200 million mark, B2B Marketing has created an infographic to reveal which brands are backing the top teams, and how much they are willing to pay to get their logo centre stage.

US automotive company Chevrolet forked out the largest sum (£47 million) to sponsor Manchester United, followed by Japanese tyre manufacturer Yokohama who sponsored Chelsea for £40 million, and airline Fly Emirates who paid £30 million to secure its partnership with Arsenal.

A range of B2B brands appear on the list, such as software company Intuit Quickbooks who sponsored Aston Villa and online commodity exchange platform GWFX who partnered with Swansea.

Meanwhile, the infographic reveals that six out of the 20 shirt sponsors are gambling brands, including Wonga who sponsor Newcastle United and Mansion who sponsor both Crystal Palace and AFC Bournemouth.
