Product growth prompts Freshdesk transformation

Provider of cloud-based customer support software Freshdesk has announced the creation of Freshworks, a new umbrella brand that will bring together

its

growing suite of business software.

The creation of

Freshworks

follows the growth of its customer support software and the introduction of new products for IT service management, customer relationship management and cloud-based call centres.

The new products being brought together under the

Freshworks

brand include Freshsales, a full-featured CRM solution for sales teams handling high-velocity leads; and Freshdesk, a multichannel customer support helpdesk allowing companies to collaborate and support their customers through email, phone, websites, forums and social media.

The company’s vision is for these products to play an important role in achieving its mission of helping companies better engage and communicate with their customers and employees, by providing them with business software that is easy-to-use, feature-packed and accessible to businesses of all sizes.

Girish Mathrubootham, CEO and founder of Freshworks, said: “Our goal is to build a company that’s loved by employees, customers and shareholders alike. As we expand our vision and build more exciting products, we felt that this was the right time to create a new brand that would allow us to tell our multi-product story better. We’re not in this just to change the way businesses do customer support, but to refresh the way they do business.”

Six years after launching Freshdesk, Freshworks has become a global, award-winning SaaS company with five offices in Chennai, San Bruno, London, Sydney and Berlin.
