Questions posted on brand Facebook pages increase by 37%

The volume of questions users post on UK brands’ Facebook walls increased by 37 per cent over the last year, according to new research by Socialbakers.

The social media analytics company say this is a true indication users are recognising social media as a legitimate channel to contact brands and get information to a greater extent.

In the previous report, carried out between April and June 2012, the average response rate was 45 per cent, this has improved to 63 per cent in April 2013.

However, the report reveals that it takes UK brands slightly longer to respond to questions than the worldwide average,  25 hours compared to 22 hours.
