Responsys predicts rise in display marketing in 2012

Responsys, provider of email and cross-channel marketing services, has said that 2012 will see an ‘explosion’ in display marketing for UK brands.

Simon Robinson, senior director of marketing and alliances, Responsys, EMEA said that more brands will use display marketing to target customers across the web with personalised and timely communications.

Robinson commented, “Throughout 2011 we have seen the rise of new school marketers that target customers across the interactive power channels – email, mobile, web, social and display.

“As marketers continue to reach out to customers across the web channel based on their past interactions, we will see a rise in demand for display solutions that allow brands to target customers with personalised and relevant communications including web content management, ad retargeting and site retargeting. Eventually, the marketing industry can expect to see display progress so that we witness the development of personalised commercials online and on TV.”
