A drone retailer has set up a training course for marketers to become accredited drone pilots.
DronesDirect.co.uk has launched the three-day paid course in response to the increased use of drones in the creative industries. A licence from the Civil Aviation Authority is needed if you intend to fly a drone in what the regulator describes as “congested” areas.
Tim Morley, business unit manager at DronesDirect.co.uk, said: “As with the recreational use of drones, the commercial use of drones and unmanned aerial vehicles, in particular within the creative industries, has become more commonplace. For safety and legal reasons, it is vital employees using drones for work reasons are qualified and their use is considered and responsible.”
The course covers photography, law and regulations and airmanship and safety, among other topics.
