Sage (UK) has handed its search accounts to VCCP Search without a pitch. The search agency will be handling both Sage’s paid and natural search accounts.
Kirsten Pistor, partner & client services director for VCCP Search, explains how the potential for the business in paid and natural search is enormous. She says, “We’ll be focused on driving direct response but also looking at these channels in terms of brand and reputation management.”
VCCP Search began working with the business software provider in March this year. Peter Wilson, digital strategy manager for Sage, says, “So far the performance has far outweighed our expectations. It’s fair to say we are delighted.”
Since VCCP has been working with Sage, it has seen an increase in the ROI percentage and in the average order value.
Wilson had worked with the search agency before and says, “I knew they operated with only senior people and the benefit of having the founding partners…working directly on the Sage account meant a lot to us.”
In 2008 Sage underwent a major repositioning campaign, the success of the digital operation led to a wider review of the companies activities. Search was highlighted as a key opportunity to be maximised.
