Salesforce acquires Evergage

CRM platform Salesforce has acquired 1:1 personalisation software Evergage to enhance customer data and deliver more relevant experiences.

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The acquisition follows after Evergage was named a Leader in the Forrester WaveTM: Digital Intelligence Platforms, Q4 2019. With this acquisition, Salesforce hopes to expand its name in customer data with personalised, real-time interactions instead of its existing generic AI capabilities.

Evergage had raised $26 million prior to the acquisition by Salesforce. Arrowroot Capital led the last two rounds alongside investors G20 Ventures and Point Judith Capital.

Additionally, Evergage earned several awards last year, including ‘Personalisation Tech Solution of the Year’ in the inaugural Rele Awards. Last December, Salesforce announced a $1.25m grant towards education, a partnership with Deloitte, and the opening of another floor in its London office.

Matthew Safaii, founder and managing partner at Arrowroot Capital, said: “The acquisition by Salesforce highlights Evergage’s industry leading product and its ability to service clients. Early on it was evident Karl and Greg had a clear comprehension of the needs of the industry and where it was heading. It has been a remarkable four year journey with Evergage. Arrowroot could not be happier for the team.”
