Salesforce.com has signed an agreement to acquire mobile and social cloud consulting company, Model Metrics.
The financials of the transaction have not been disclosed, but the deal is expected to close in salesforce.com’s fiscal fourth quarter, ending 31 January 2012.
The purchase will see the company add mobile and social enterprise to further user experience and empower its global partner ecosystem.
Model Metrics was founded in 2003 with the aim of helping companies to accelerate adoption of cloud computing through strategic app development and instalment.
Commenting on the acquisition, George Hu, COO at salesforce.com, said, “The addition of Model Metrics’ mobile and social expertise will accelerate salesforce.com’s ability to lead the shift to the social enterprise and empower partners to develop their social enterprise practice.”
Staff from Model Metrics will join salesforce.com’s strategic services organisation to employ their expertise in mobile and social design conception, user experience, business process alignment and frameworks for building employee and customer-facing apps.
