Salesforce has granted $1.25m in funding towards education and career nonprofits.
Salesforce is supporting Ark, a network of 37 schools, with its mathematics programme and the National College for Digital Skills Ada with its apprenticeship programme.
Additionally, Salesforce has partnered with Deloitte to launch its Pathfinder Training Programme, which educates individuals in tech and business skills to earn a Salesforce Administrator or Developer certification.
The grant and partnership with Deloitte were announced during the opening of a new floor in the Salesforce Tower in London called the Ohana Floor. The floor will be available for nonprofits and local education groups on weeknights and weekends at no cost, giving them a new space to host fundraisers, workshops, and meetings. At the opening, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan recognised Salesforce as a member of the Good Work Standard.
Salesforce CEO, UKI Dame Jayne-Anne Gadhia said: “Today is a landmark moment for Salesforce in the UK, as we make significant investments to skill and train the workforce for the future, while also opening our first international Ohana Floor – an inspiring space for the whole community. We believe businesses have a responsibility to benefit everyone in society, so we must step up to meet that challenge.”
