Salesforce to acquire Rypple

Salesforce has agreed terms to acquire social performance management company Rypple, in its latest move towards providing fully integrated social marketing services to brands.

The deal, for which financial specifics have not been released, sees Salesforce make its first move into the human capital management (HCM) market.

Rypple products are to be re-released under the new ‘Successforce’ banner and the company is to create a new HCM business unit.

Salesfore CEO Marc Benioff said, “Salesforce.com and Rypple share a vision for extending the social enterprise to transform the way we work.

“The next generation of HCM is not just about a cloud delivery model, it’s about a fundamentally better way to recruit, manage and empower employees in a social world.”
