Samsung unveils Galaxy S4

The latest round of the Samsung/Apple battle for smartphone domination saw the Korean company launch its new flagship phone last night in New York.

Headline features announced at the glitzy launch event at the Radio city Music Hall included eye tracking technology to assist reading, contactless gesture swipe and a series of the usual processor and camera upgrades.

The Galaxy S4, which builds on the huge success of its predecessor and retains much of the exterior styling, is described on the Samsung website as ‘a real life companion [that] helps bring us closer together.’

Samsung’s new phone is likely to prove a hit with its growing userbase, even if some commentators are suggesting it is more akin to an ‘S’ update of the iPhone line than a game-changing release.
