Siemens makes the move to the business technology sector

Siemens is about to launch a new campaign designed to reposition the brand beyond the information technology arena and into the ‘all-encompassing sector of business technology.’
The new ’business technologists campaign’ includes an advanced digital and social media contact strategy, as well as a specifically developed social web portal which features SEO optimised content across a range of blogs, whitepapers, podcasts and polls. It was developed by IAS b2b Marketing, chosen by Siemens as its partner in the project.

David Burnand, vice president, global customer and portfolio marketing at Siemens, commented, “The resulting campaign has provided us with a great platform to position ourselves clearly in a competitive market and give us a basis on which to build during an exciting period of change for our company.”

Reuben Webb, creative director at IAS added, “It’s refreshing to see a B2B brand of Siemen’s stature prepared to think and act this big. Information is too passive a word to describe what technology can do for your business now. It’s not about functionality it’s about technology helping drive your business strategy. We believe this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to change an industry forever.”

The campaign will be rolled out across the UK, the US, Germany and Austria.
