Silverpop is reported to be on the verge of launching a new product which will combine two of its marketing solutions, Engage B2B and its consumer-focused Engage platform.
The new product called Engage 8 will be officially launched next week and will merge the CRM, marketing automation, lead management and lead nurturing facilities of Engage B2B with the email and social media tools of Engage.
A company spokesman said Silverpop would continue to support the separate Engage B2B and Engage products, but that these eventually may be phased out to focus on the new Engage 8.
In January Salesforce launched its Chatter platform which allows professionals to collaborate and share social media information through the Salesforce programme.
