Social media mapped out

There’s no shortage of infographics knocking around in cyberspace these days. They jostle for position, often trying to explain the same things. But every now and again there’s one that stands out from the crowd…

And I spotted one such one this morning (it is a few months old but still worth a look).

Click here to see the infographic.

Produced by CMO.com, it is designed to provide a very clear overview of what each of the major social media sites are useful for.

Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, LinkedIn, YouTube, Digg, Stumbleupon, Reddit and Tumblr are all evaluated against their ability to boost customer communication, brand exposure, traffic generation and SEO.

It is everything an infographic should be; useful, neatly presented and easily digestible.(NOTE: it will have to be updated when Google+ for business is released – in two weeks, if reports today are to be believed).

Do you agree with the conclusions it presents?
