On-demand storage service SpaceWays has launched a social media campaign to showcase its storage offering.
‘Save my space’ asks London business owners and members of the public to share photos of their cramped London offices or homes with the hashtag #savemyspace. The weekly winner of this photo competition will be given three months of free storage to help declutter their space.
Rob Rebholz, co-founder of SpaceWays, said: “With more people moving to London and more properties being built, the capital is expanding inwards, causing a shrinking effect for home owners, renters and businesses alike. We want to try and help solve the problem by offering those most in need of space with three months of free storage to help ease the burden.”
This activity follows a study by the Building, Research and Information Journal that revealed the average floor space for a dwelling in the UK is just 85 square metres, putting Britain at the bottom of a league table of 15 countries including Ireland, Portugal and Italy.
Rebholz added: “We know how valuable space can be in a city like London and invite people to share their storage problems with us through pictures so we can offer to help those who desperately need to create extra living or working space to make their lives more comfortable.”
