Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has strengthened its marketing team with two senior appointments.
Gareth Edwards has been appointed to the role of head of digital media and production where he will be responsible for SWIP’s ecommunications strategy as well as developing the content for its UK and international websites.
Sonia Irvine, has been appointed as head of request for proposal (RFP) where she will lead the investment writing teams and manage SWIP’s contribution to key publications.
Both Edwards and Irvine will report to the head of marketing. Steve Torbet, interim head of marketing, said, “I am delighted to welcome Gareth and Sonia to the team here at SWIP. Gareth brings a wealth a financial services experience with him and will play an instrumental role in the development and implementation of SWIP’s emarketing strategy.
“Sonia brings over 12 years’ marketing experience, gained in Scotland and overseas, and a depth of knowledge that will enable her to lead and develop our inhouse writing and RFP teams.”
In other appointment news, marketing automation provider, Marketo has expanded its executive team with a number of senior appointments.
The appointments come after Marketo acquired social campaign management platform, Crowd Factory. The only marketing appointment is Sanjay Dholakia, former CEO of Crowd Factory who is now senior vice president of product marketing and corporate development at Marketo.
