Oilfield services company TGT has rebranded as part of its business transformation.
The company worked with agency Handsome Brands to create a new image to reflect the brand’s technological sophistication while also encompassing the simple and clear service TGT delivers to its customers.
TGT has adopted a new colour palette of navy, green, turquoise and purple. The colours are used in both square and circle patterns, each representing one of TGT’s new product lines: True Flow and True Integrity. True Flow identifies flow paths around the oil well, while True Integrity validates the integrity of the tubes holding pressurised fluids. These patterns are inspired by the behaviour of oil wells and the unpredictable and multi-layered environment they exist in. The colours green, turquoise and purple represent corporate, products, or systems.
An animation has also been created in the new brand colours as part of the rebrand.
New slogan promises to ‘Reveal a greater truth’
A new tagline has also been unveiled as ‘Reveal a greater truth’. The thinking behind this was due to TGT’s products and services which allow customers to form the clearest picture of what is happening in and around their oil wells.
Ian Haughton, founder and creative director at Handsome Brands, said: “Branding in the oilfield services market is pretty bland and interchangeable – it’s hard to tell companies apart. TGT was keen to break this mould and we saw an opportunity to do something different and original.
“In an industry that’s inherently complex, we needed to untangle the language and cut through the noise. We needed a new brand that was striking, simple and clean in line with the simplicity of the new product architecture and offering. We’re particularly proud of the new language and launch animation. They set the tone for TGT’s challenge to the rest of the industry to catch up.”
