The B2B Marketing US Agencies Benchmarking Report 2021 is out now!

So, what does the marketplace look like right now? Well, as you’ll see by downloading the report, US agencies have been flying in the face of adversity caused by Covid-19.

With 2020 being the most miserable year in recent memory – both on an economic level and a human level – you’d be forgiven for thinking US agencies would have suffered. Whilst headcounts have admittedly taken a hit over the past 12 months, agencies have actually continued to grow, with the average US gross income increasing by 8.17% year-on-year.

Merkle B2B takes the top spot

In this year’s report, Merkle B2B has taken the top spot in our Top 48 US B2B marcomms agencies league table, reporting US gross income in its most recent financial year of $115.3 million. Merkle took the top spot from Bader Rutter, who came first place in last year’s report, and second place this year.

In third place came Iris Worldwide, who reported a whopping $30.1 million, followed by MSQ B2B and Fahglren Mortine, who reported $26.7 million and $25 million, respectively.

Speaking on their placement, Rich Perry, CEO, Iris, said: “This is an accolade to our growing team who have delivered some tremendous results for our fantastic B2B clients. We’re continuing our journey to be the best B2B agency in the world and this is another step in that direction.”

Also making the top 10 is The Mx Group (sixth place), who reported a US gross income of $24.8 million, and Two Rivers Marketing (ninth place), who reported $21 million.

This year’s report also includes the US agency marketplace’s fastest growers and rising stars. This year’s fastest grower – i.e. the agency that reported the largest increase in US gross income year-on-year – was Merkle B2B, whilst this year’s number one rising star – i.e. the agency that reported the largest increase in US gross income year-on-year as a percentage increase – was Velocity Partners.

Merkle reported an increase in US gross income year-on-year of $45.1 million, but Velocity Partners reported an increase of 167%.
