The London Evening Standard and media and advertising charity NABs have joined forces with well-known athlete Paula Radcliff to raise awareness of its upcoming marathon team relay for the charity.
The relay will take place at Morrisons Great Newham London run on 19 July at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London.
To increase awareness of the event, the London Evening Standard and NABs are inviting teams of four (two female, two male) to take part, offering the first 20 people that sign up the chance to win a training session with Paula Radcliffe.
The inter-advertising and media industry competition is designed to raise money for NABs’ various services, such as advice, guidance and support to professionals working in the sector.
Meanwhile, the fastest team on the day will have a chance of winning a VIP trip to Ethiopia to take part in the Great Ethiopian Run and have lunch with Haile Gebrselassie, one of the greatest distance athletes of all time.
Diana Tickell, CEO at NABS, said: “Partnering with the London Evening Standard on an event such as the Morrisons Great Newham London Run allows the industry to not only raise money to help NABS keep delivering its services, but also brings us together. Whether you’re a serious runner or casual jogger, you and your team mates have the incredible opportunity to run across the finish line inside the Olympic stadium; following in the footsteps of the stars of London 2012.”
