The Mission Marketing Group partners with the School of Communication Arts to promote diversity in creative industries

The partnership will offer students from diverse backgrounds an alternative route into the creative industries, compared with the traditional university route, by working on live briefs for The Mission Marketing Group agencies.

The School of Communication Arts (SCA) will see its students gain valuable skills and experience through work placements with The Mission Marketing Group agencies, as well as receiving advice from experienced professionals through a mentoring programme.

The SCA takes on students from diverse backgrounds in a ‘hands-on’ alternative to the traditional university route into creative industries. A social enterprise, it is supported by 100 agencies, with 80% of its students securing a job at a top 100 agency within six months of completing the course.

The school hopes the relationship with The Mission Marketing Group will open doors for its students inside and outside of traditional advertising, as well as using its geographical reach to send talent to locations across the UK such as Belfast, Leicester, Bristol and Norwich.

Dylan Bogg, executive director at The Mission Marketing Group said: “We see our partnership as a great fit. This is such a big deal for diversity, and for a generation who are looking for a work/life balance with the possibility of owning a home near to where they work outside of London.”
