thomsonlocal.com and Google expand their relationship

Local search company thomsonlocal.com and search giant Google have announced the extension of their strategic alliance.

According to the new agreement, thomsonlocal.com – which became Europe’s first authorised reseller for Google in 2005 – has been made an authorised Google’s AdWords reseller. The announcement comes as the company aims to strengthen its ability to help small businesses across the UK to grow through digital media.

Elio Schiavo, CEO at thomsonlocal.com, said, “Clearly, the way people search for local products and services has changed, and it is important that we not only help our customers evolve with this change, but provide them with access to the types of media now used by consumers to find them.

“We have invested heavily in launching new multi-media packages to market and our customers will now be able to benefit from our experience and technical expertise to build and manage AdWords campaigns on their behalf.”

Edward Ungar, head of channel partner development Europe for Google, commented, “thomsonlocal.com has established relationships with tens of thousands of businesses across the UK. Google AdWords allows those businesses to benefit from targeted and accountable online advertising to reach new customers and grow.”
