Ad targeting company Turn, has launched a US based TV advertising campaign that debuted during the high profile slot of the Mad Men finale.
The campaign, created by Gyro’s San Francisco office, is designed to increase Turn’s profile. In a similar move to commercial insurer Hiscox’s UK TV campaign, Turn has brought a high profile director on board. Michael Lehmann, whose credits include True Blood and Dexter, shot the advert.
The ad shows a 1960s advertising executive about to cheat on his partner with his secretary when in walks his partner and fires a gun at the pair. A voice-over cuts in as the bullet is travelling in slow motion towards its target and says, “Turn delivers your ad to all the right online audiences with deadly accuracy.”
The campaign microsite includes three alternative endings and a blog detailing the creation of the campaign and information about Turn’s services.
Paul Alfieri, vice president, global marketing at Turn, said, “In digital marketing, great creative and great technology go hand-in-hand. This campaign perfectly accentuates our innovative marketing technology platform.”
