Twitter and Facebook functions added to CRM email platform Clang

Digital marketing technology specialist, E-Village has added new social media capabilities to its CRM-focused email marketing platform, Clang. In addition to the existing web and SMS capabilities, Clang version 1.2.3 integrates links to Facebook and Twitter to make it easy for email recipients to share content with their friends and followers.

The new features in Clang version 1.2.3 include an automatically generated screenshot for Facebook and a shortened URL for Twitter.  Campaign statistics will show the effectiveness of the email newsletter by clearly presenting what recipients have shared through social media, how many have done so and whose followers and/or friends have clicked through to that specific piece of content.

Rogier van der Veen, UK business development manager for Clang explains: “Far from competing, email marketing and social media work hand-in-hand.  Therefore, the new version of Clang encourages recipients of emails to share the content via Facebook and Twitter.  Digital marketers can be confident that, using a single application, they are harnessing a powerful combination of digital channels and maximising the exposure to their message and brand.”
