Twitter opens Lead Generation Cards for all businesses

Twitter has announced it is opening its Lead Generation Cards to all businesses after trialling the concept in May.

Lead Generation Cards let brands register users emails for promotions or memberships directly within a tweet. When you click to expand the tweet, the user will see an option to sign up with their Twitter handle and connected email already filled out.

In a case study on its blog Twitter outlined how outdoor clothing company Rock/Creek used the scheme in a Promoted Tweet campaign to  generate over 1700 new email contacts in less than one week.

The cards now take minutes to set up, and brands can download leads straight from Twitter Ads into a CSV file or sync to its CRM system.

Plus, brands can view important analytics in order to allow them to optimise card designs.

Tarun Jain, product manager, revenue at Twitter, said in a blog post: ‘We’re continuing to experiment with more card layouts to ensure that the Lead Generation Card is versatile for a variety of uses, from coupon offers to newsletter subscriptions to political campaigns sign-ups…

‘If you’re interested in creating a Lead Generation Card, you’ll need a Twitter Ads account. Open your account, get an overview of the Lead Generation Card, then learn about how to create your Cards. We look forward to hearing your feedback on how your Lead Generation Cards are driving results for your business.’

The Lead Generation Cards are available in all languages supported on Twitter Ads.
