Twitter is adding the option to personalise trending topics, based on who you follow.
It will be an optional addition to your Twitter settings but it means marketers not interested in hearing more about Justin Bieber can avoid such posts.
Sara Mauskopf, product manager at Twitter, introduced the new functionality on a recent blog post.
She explains that, “These Trends lists are tailored for you by default on twitter.com and mobile apps like Twitter for iPhone and Twitter for Android.”
Tailored Trends roll out gradually from today.
