UK’s first BTEC in social media marketing launched

Status Social Media Marketing, has been selected to host the UK’s first BTEC qualification in social media marketing.

The course launches in February 2012 and is initially being delivered in the Midlands before extending to other regions across the UK.

Aimed at those in marketing that want to improve their social media skills, the level three BTEC is comprised of 21 hours of face to face training, 100 hours of distance learning and six hours of mentoring.

Mark Saxby, course mentor and social media marketer at Status Social Media Marketing, said the company has had an influx of interest. “We get many requests from marketing companies asking them to train them in social media marketing – despite many of them already claiming they offer it as a service.”
