Marketing and communications agency, UM London has been appointed to work on the UK media planning and buying business for Norwegian energy company Statoil.
UM London’s campaign – which represents Statoil’s first ever UK-focused media activity – aims to raise awareness of the energy giant in the UK and to highlight its innovation and sustainability credentials. It targets business leaders, government ministers and senior civil service decision makers.
Due to be launched in June 2011, the campaign features out-of-home displays, as well as print and online advertising. Print partnerships include authoritative business voices such as the Telegraph, The Times and the Economist. Digital activity embraces the use of iPad platform to underline Statoil’s commitment to provide cutting-edge technology.
Adam Morton, group business director at UM London, said, ‘We have deliberately focused on bespoke formats and high-end business media – in keeping with Statoil’s innovative and premium credentials.’
