Twitter’s six second video phenomenon, Vine, has launched on Android.
The app, which now has 13 million users and become a popular marketing medium, will share the majority of features with the iOS version.
However, Sara Haider, Android engineer, said in a blog post: “Though we’ve been very focused on releasing Vine for Android, we’ve continued to release updates and add new features to the iOS app. As a result, the two apps are not perfectly in sync, but that won’t be the case for long.”
Users will see frequent updates with new features throughout June. This includes a front-facing camera, search, mentions and hashtags, and the ability to share to Facebook.
