Web data analysis on the move

Analytics provider, Webtrends, has launched a programme designed to provide marketers, IT professionals and expert analytics users with the ability to measure data with increased ease.

Webtrends Analytics 9 will allow for real-time alerts to be sent – via, email, SMS, or Twitter direct messages – when you reach or fail to reach your pre-determined goals. The customer intelligence company wanted to make data available anytime, anywhere, and decided to create an app for the increasingly popular business tool, the Apple iphone.

Although a release date for the app has not yet been given, Webtrends insists it will deliver key metrics, trends and high level insight on web activity.

Nick Sharp, general manager and VP EMEA and Australia at Webtrends notes that many brands are interacting with consumers via multiple domains. He says, “The challenge this poses for business however is in harnessing real-time data to drive business value through action. The Autumn 2009 release of Analytics 9 addresses this opportunity directly with real-time analytics linked to alerts and notifications.”
