We’re not being paid what we deserve, say 60% of B2B marketers

Some 60% of B2B marketers believe they are being underpaid, according to the annual B2B Marketing Salary Survey.

The poll of 611 marketers also found 38% think they are being paid about the right amount, and just 2% are confident enough to say they feel they are being paid more than they expect.

The average B2B marketing salary was found to be £46,442, a drop from £48,000 in the previous year.

Despite feeling undervalued, two-thirds of B2B marketers still say they are satisfied with their current job, with fewer than a fifth saying they are dissatisfied.

Even so, 54% of B2B marketers declare their intention to start looking for a new role within the next 12 months.

Paul Snell, deputy editor at B2B Marketing, said: “While money isn’t everything to B2B marketers, three-quarters of survey respondents cite salary as their number one consideration when choosing a new role. It’s likely that many of those who feel underpaid and undervalued believe they would be offered a better deal by a new employer, which is why they intend to look for a new job.”
