Whatever the Weather | Reliable telephone research

Unless you’ve been living in a cave (and even then I imagine you must be pretty cold by now), you’ll have noticed that Britain is in the grip of a ‘Big Freeze’.With the majority of the country under an amber weather alert, it’s fair to say that where ever you are this morning, you will have been greeted by wintry scenes as you got out of bed. The knock on effect of this extreme weather is that travel conditions have become incredibly treacherous and accidents are causing slow traffic across the country; and it’s only supposed to get worse as the day goes on. For the majority of businesses this could spell disaster, with many people unable to get to work. Sadly, Market Research agencies are not immune to this “act of God”.

This causes a particular problem for us as Researchers; for many of you across the country relying on telephone research, you might find that your call centres are looking rather empty today. Whilst many people won’t make it to work at all today, those that do could be late, or may have to leave early due to the blizzard conditions which are slowly making their way across the country. This depleted work force will undoubtedly have an adverse effect on your projects. Whether you have your own call centre or you out source to one, we all know how easy it can be to fall behind or even miss deadlines because of circumstances out of our control. The cost implications of a problem like this don’t bear thinking about.

Undoubtedly many of the Market Research community will be bracing for this very problem today, however the same cannot be said for Face Facts Research. Instead of using the traditional call centre format for our telephone research, we have a virtual mechanism which allows us to consistently provide a quality service. Our country-wide network of telephone interviewers’ work from home; so it’s safe to say that our entire work force has made it to work today!

This is just one of the many reasons that makes Face Facts different to the rest, as even an Atlantic snow storm won’t stop us from delivering your projects on time!
