Technology PR agency Whiteoaks has announced its senior team has completed a management buyout of the business.
Following completion of the deal, James Kelliher, previously managing director and a major shareholder in the business, has become the new chairman and chief executive officer of the brand. Suzanne Munton, also a current director and shareholder, has become the consultancy’s managing director and Hayley Goff is now the client services director.
Supported by Lloyds Bank, the management team bought out founder Gill Craig and the remaining shareholders. However, Craig will remain heavily involved in the business – providing business development consultancy and services to the management team.
In addition, Whiteoaks has announced that John Broy and Sharon Barlow have been promoted to become associate directors of the business. Broy and Barlow will join the consultancy’s leadership team which includes Kelliher, Munton, Goff and financial controller Sharon Hope.
James Kelliher, chairman and chief executive officer at Whiteoaks, commented: “Since starting the company more than 20 years ago Gill has been instrumental to the success of Whiteoaks, so we are delighted that she will continue to play a prominent role in the business.
“At the same time the expansion of our leadership team enables us to blend the knowledge behind our many accomplishments with new perspectives – which will further enhance the services we offer clients.”
