B2B Marketing’s Content Marketing Benchmarking Report 2013 has revealed that marketers believe whitepapers and case studies are the most effective content type. Forty-two per cent of marketers believe case studies to be ‘very effective’, and 31 per cent rate whitepapers similarly.
Meanwhile, the most frequently employed content formats are press releases, which 55 per cent of respondents use regularly, and blog posts which 52 per cent employ. However, only 18 per cent of respondents regarded press releases as ‘very effective’, while a similarly low 19 per cent found blog post to be ‘very effective’.
