Musician Will.i.am announced Telefonica will be the exclusive UK network partner for his new wearable device, Puls.
The former Black Eyed Peas frontman launched the device at Salesforce’s Dreamforce conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Puls is a cuff that goes on a user’s wrist. The wearable device has wifi, bluetooth, gps, a pedometer, one gb of memory and 16gb of storage.
Will.i.am hinted that there may be room for business apps to be used on the device in the future.
The musician revealed when Salesforce CEO, Marc Benioff, was encouraging him to pursue the tech venture the chief executive said Salesforce apps could run on the device.
AT&T will be the US network platform partner and the devices are expected to be in shops in time for Christmas. Puls is released under Will.i.am’s I.am+ brand.
As well as the afore mentioned network partners, the musician turned tech entrepreneur also spoke about working with Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation, but didn’t offer any more details.
