Yahoo has launched new two ad units, allowing advertisers greater personalisation across its websites.
The ad units, named Stream Ads and Billboard, were first announced in April.
Stream Ads have already appeared on the Yahoo homepage and Yahoo News. These imitate the format of the content surrounding it. For example, on the Yahoo News website, ads appear as a thumbnail accompanied by a linked headline and a short description. A sponsored tag and yellow background signify the content is paid for.
Meanwhile, Billboard is a large display unit that runs across the top of Yahoo’s desktop homepage. This unit allows advertisers to add multiple links for extra interactivity.
Additionally, the ads will appear on the desktop and Android app for Yahoo Mail, appearing at the top of users’ inboxes.
