Yahoo! is strengthening is B2B marketing arm with a host of new recruits with the aim of presenting a more consistent brand message to agencies, publishers, developers and other business clients.
The newly-appointed SVP of global B2B marketing Mollie Spilman, has hired former Viacom employee Lauren Weinberg as senior director of B2B insights marketing along with former VP of marketing at video network Tremor Media, Shane Steele who has become VP global B2B marketing communications and operations at Yahoo
Tanya Andrade, previously with Cisco, has also started as Yahoo’s new executive director of events.
Steele will be responsible for Yahoo!’s outreach to industry through its advertiser and publisher portals, blogs, and other operations as well as heading up an industry-aimed ad campaign set to break in the US June.
Spilman said the goal of the recruitment drive is “to bring more consistency to the message of all the work we do…it seemed schizophrenic to the market.”
