Multinational law firm DWF has appointed Zelinda Bennett, formerly of DLA Piper, to a new role to lead marketing.
Zelinda will join DWF in January in the role of director of marketing and business development. She brings more than 20 years’ experience in developing and implementing client strategy in professional services firms.
In her role at DWF, Zelinda will be responsible for shaping the firm’s global business development, client engagement and marketing strategy, leading a 50-strong cross-jurisdictional team across the UK, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and America.
Prior to her time at DLA Piper, Zelinda spent 10 years in marketing and business development at Eversheds and Addleshaw Goddard. Her appointment follows a number of hires to DWF’s leadership team in recent months, including chairman Sir Nigel Knowles, chief information officer Daniel Pollick and CEO of managed services Anup Kollanethu.
Zelina will replace the former director of client development in a new role designed with the international growth and future of the business in mind. According to the law firm, the appointment reflects DWF’s focus on expanding its global presence, building profile in target markets and in deepening client relationships across its core sectors.
Andrew Leaitherland, managing partner and CEO said: “Zelinda’s experience in fast-growing global legal businesses will be of great value to us as we build for the next phase of our development.”
