Integration service Zapier has released its screen capture tool, Zappy, for macOS users to download for free.
Users can take a screen capture and annotate it with text and visuals and instantly share screenshots, GIFs, and recordings with teammates. Those with a paid Zapier account, can automatically upload captures to the cloud and copy a shareable URL to their clipboard.
Zapier had been a fully-remote company since its start eight years ago, with more than 300 team members working across 17 different time zones. The screen capture tool was used purely for the internal remote team but they’ve now extended the feature for users to download during COVID-19 to suit the current working environment.
Mike Knoop, head of Zapier Labs, said: “That’s why we made Zappy, an incredibly fast screen capture tool for remote teams. It lets you communicate more effectively by sharing what you see. It’s built for speed and makes annotations way quicker than futzing with your computer’s built-in tools.”
